COLLANA ASIA
2022-2026
The Asia series by add editore is a curated collection of memoirs, essays, novels, short stories, and graphic works that explore the political, historical, and cultural dimensions of contemporary Asia.
The series aims to move beyond stereotypical and exotic representations of the continent, offering instead a nuanced and multifaceted perspective on a region that is increasingly influential on the global stage. Through a diverse range of voices, it highlights the complexity of Asian societies and encourages a deeper, more conscious understanding of their transformations and cultural expressions.
A distinctive feature of the series is its strong visual identity, with cover illustrations curated by the illustrator Lucrezia Viperina, whose work contributes to shaping the imaginative and aesthetic dimension of the collection.
I have collaborated with ADD publishing house since 2022. With great care and dedication, the publisher aims to depict the Asian world and my images were selected to represent these stories with precision and a modern vision. One of my goals is for people to pause a moment longer, allowing an illustration to be studied rather than just viewed, fostering mutual exchange, and especially testimonies. This dedication aligns with my own values, where quality prevails over speed.
My illustrations are used for all the covers of the book series, representing and translating the essence of each book. The page opposite the title page also features a small illustration that hints at something from the story without revealing its content. Each design is meticulously crafted to evoke the spirit of the narrative. The illustrations undergo several stages of creation, beginning with a meticulously hand-drawn draft, followed by the final work produced using digital techniques. Each stage is executed with care to ensure precision and artistic integrity.
